Dhamar : Yemen and France are currently studying mechanisms to define requirements and priorities of agricultural technical education as well as preparations to draw up a strategy for agricultural education in the country.
These plans were discussed by Dhamar governor deputy Abdul-Karim Dhafan with the French agricultural delegation led by Allan Marine, representative of the French Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Ministry, who also discussed agriculture cooperation and training between the two countries.
Dhafan assured the French official of Yemen interest in technical education and vocational training as they are considered a core element of comprehensive development, noting that Dhamar governorate seeks to further open new majors to cope with labor market and investment necessities.
For his part, the French official reviewed objectives of the visit to prepare for a strategy of agriculture education in Yemen, which is currently under work in collaboration with French and Yemen exerts, underscoring the importance of reinforcing the Yemeni-French cooperation in all areas, agriculture in particular.
