Monitoring of minority welfare schemes on Chief Secretary level

Patna: Bihar Government has formed a high level committee under leadership of the Chief Secretary for the implementation of programmes started by the government  for the welfare of the minorities.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recently started 10 programmes for the welfare of minorities.

One of its meeting was held in old secretariat in which Chief Secretary Ashok Kumar Choudhary, Home Secretary Afzal Amanullah, Personal Secretary Amir Subhani, Secretary of Finance, Industrial Development Commissioner, Secretary of building construction, Secretary of Art and Culture and Youth Affairs, and Minority Welfare Secretary Rashid Ahmad Khan besides them Naushad Ahmad Chairman of Bihar State Minority Commission and Chairman of Bihar State Madarsa Education Board, Patna Mr Salahuddin were present.

The steps taken by the department of Minority Welfare towards the welfare of minorities were monitored and many new ideas were considered in this meeting. Some ideas were regarded as incomplete and it was instructed to make them more effective.

It is also decided that next meeting will be held after 15 days in which incomplete ideas of this meeting will be discussed and a work plan will be framed accordingly.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given the responsibility to the Chief Secretary to chart out an action plan for the implementation of 10 programmes launched by the state Government for the welfare of Muslims of Bihar. This is in addition to the15 point programmes run by the central Government.
