Kenyan aircraft with 115 people missing

Nairobi : A Kenyan aircraft with 115 people on board went missing Saturday after taking off from Douala in west Cameroon, authorities said.

There were 106 passengers, eight crew members and an engineer on the plane, Kenya Airways officials said.

Flight KQ 507 belonging to Kenya Airways and operated by a B737-800 aircraft took off at 12.05 p.m. and was due to arrive in Nairobi at 06.15 a.m., said a press statement posted on Kenyan Airways website.

The last message from the aircraft was received by the control tower in Douala immediately after takeoff.
