Baghdad : The US army in Iraq announced Friday that six soldiers and an interpreter were killed and four others wounded in attacks Thursday across Iraq.
One soldier was killed and another wounded in an explosive device attack against their vehicle in Salah Eddin province, 175 km north of the capital Baghdad.
In western Baghdad, a soldier was killed when a patrol was attacked with small arms fire in the west of the Iraqi capital.
In Diyala Province, northwest of Baghdad, wounds sustained from small arms fire killed one soldier.
In Baghdad, a soldier was killed when an explosion occurred near his vehicle.
Two other soldiers were also wounded in the incident and were taken to a coalition forces medical treatment facility.
Also in western Baghdad, two more soldiers were killed when an explosive device hit their patrol. One was wounded in the attack while an Iraqi interpreter died.
