Jaipur : Leading BPO firm Genpact has launched a training programme in association with the University of Rajasthan that enables students to work part-time with the company while pursuing a degree course.
This initiative, called the associate trainee programme, will initially induct 100 students who have just passed the Class 12 exams.
On completing their graduation, these trainees will be offered full-time employment with Genpact.
N.K. Jain, vice chancellor of University Of Rajasthan, said: "Together, we have embarked upon this innovative initiative of 'Learn While You Earn' to build a unique collaboration between the academia and BPO industry."
The 'Learn While You Earn' concept enables students to spend three and a half days a week in college and two and a half days working at Genpact.
Genpact has similar partnerships with Delhi University and Osmania University in Hyderabad.
