Baghdad : A suicide bomber blew himself up Thursday in a gathering of police volunteers in Iraq's Fallujah city, killing at least 30 and wounding 20, independent Voices of Iraq news agency reported, citing an Iraqi police source.
The attack occurred inside a police recruitment centre in central Fallujah, 45 km west of Baghdad, the source added. The centre was severely damaged.
The Iraqi police forces had announced Wednesday the opening of a new police recruitment centre in al-Shurta district calling on volunteers to apply.
