Thiruvananthapuram : Toonz Animation India Pvt. Ltd. has announced that it will soon set up animation training academies in China in collaboration with the Beijing and Shengyang universities.
“We are elated to be lending a helping hand to the talents in China and are committed to offer them world class animation training. We plan to set up about 10 to 15 animation training centres in China,” Toonz Animation chief executive officer P. Jayakumar said Friday.
“Our training centres in the country have been a huge success and we would like to further that by emerging as a global film and media training centre,” he added.
Over the last eight years, Toonz Animation has become one of Asia’s largest animation production facilities with a client list including BBC, Disney, Sony Entertainment, Paramount, Hallmark and Warner Bros. The Thiruvananthapuram-based company currently employs over 1,000 animation experts.
Toonz Animation has also set up academies in Mumbai, Nagpur and Delhi and is planning to set up more training centres.
