India’s ODI numbers at Guwahati

New Delhi : The major trade centre of the north-eastern part of India, Guwahati is also the spots hub of the region mainly because it is the best connected with the rest of the country.

The sprawling Nehru Stadium here is easily the biggest sports stadium in the country, if not the world. The ground can easily accommodate two full size football pitches while for cricket matches there is at least 30-40 yards to spare beyond the boundary ropes.

Guwahati has had to wait its turn for international cricket, fighting with Jamshedpur’s Keenan Stadium and Cuttack Barabati Stadium, for its turn as the East Zone centre – Kolkata’s Eden Gardens is in a separate class altogether.
