New Delhi : Viswanathan Anand, the reigning world chess champion, will attempt to add another title to his kitty when he plays in the World Blitz Championships in Moscow Nov 21-22.
Anand and former World champion Anatoly Karpov have been seeded into the final rounds tournament, which will have 18 participants.
The final rounds will see participants take on each other twice, once each with black and white pieces. Points scored in the round robin would determine the final standings.
The time allotted is four minutes per game to each player plus two seconds per move from the opening move.
The winner collects $25,000 with the runner-up getting $15,000 with all 18 participants guaranteed cash rewards.
