Duisburg (Germany)(DPA) : Visiting VfL Bochum defeated struggling MSV Duisburg 2-0 to move clear of the immediate relegation zone in the German Bundesliga football tournament.
Daniel Imhof opened the scoring in the 29th minute and Tommy Bechmann headed in the second goal in six minutes to give Bochum a second successive victory Friday, following a 5-3 win over Wolfsburg the last weekend.
Bochum moves to 15 points from 13 matches while Duisburg is at the second position from the bottom with 9 points and could go last if Energie Cottbus wins Saturday’s match in eastern derby at Hansa Rostock.
