New Delhi : Schenker DB Logistics has announced expansion plans for the Indian market. It has pumped in Rs.200 million as initial investment in its Indian arm Schenker India Pvt Ltd, said a top company official.
The firm expects to generate business worth Rs.20 billion by 2008-09 in the country.
Schenker DB Logistics and Bax Global have recently announced their merger, making the united firm one of the largest logistics and supply chain management company in the world.
“The hard work of the integration taskforces in planning and executing has helped us realise this achievement in a seamless fashion which has been a key to this merger,” said Steve Dearnley, CEO of Schenker (Asia Pacific).
“Now, you can benefit directly with new products and services never before available from either company,” said Thomas C. Lieb, member of board of management, Schenker.
