Gaza : Two Palestinian civilians were critically wounded on Saturday in two Israeli ground and air strikes on rocket launchers in northern Gaza Strip, medics and witnesses reported.
Witnesses said a Palestinian physician was critically wounded when Israeli artillery fired one shell at a group of Islamic Jihad(Holy War) militants, after they launched two homemade rockets from northern Gaza Strip at Israel.
Mo’aweya Hassanein, chief of emergency in the ministry of health said Physician Walid Salleh was driving his car when an Israeli missile hit northern Gaza Strip, adding he was critically wounded.
In a separate incident, Israeli attack helicopters fired two air-to-ground missiles at a group of militants, who belong to al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Fatah movement’s armed wing in the town of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza Strip.
Witnesses said the group’s members managed to escape after launching one homemade rocket at Israel.
Hassanein said a 19-year-old civilian living in the area was critically wounded in the aerial attack.
