New Delhi : International Cricket Council (ICC) president Ray Mali and CEO Malcolm Speed will join the Indian and Pakistani teams and officials of the two countries at a dinner to be hosted by the Indian cricket board here Saturday.
The dinner will be hosted at the residence of Sharad Pawar, president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), during the first Test starting here Thursday.
BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla said the ICC top brass, besides the board officials of the two countries, would be present.
“ICC president Mali and CEO Malcolm Speed have been invited to the dinner at Pawar’s 6, Janpath residence,” Shukla told IANS.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Naseem Ashraf and the selection committee chairman Salahuddin Ahmed have also been invited to the dinner.
Shukla, however, said that no celebrities would be there.
On Tuesday, Pakistan’s high commissioner to India Shahid Malik hosted a reception for the Pakistani team and the media.
