Madhya Pradesh CM’s ‘Jandarshan’ lasts for 15 hrs.

Bhopal: The “Jandarshan” (meeting common man) programme of the Bharatiya Janata Party ruled Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan lasted for 15 hours in Badwani district and concluded with a meeting with the officers in the wee hours of Monday morning.

Chouhan visited 20 villages and interacted with the people there. On the demand of the people he announced development works costing about Rs. 50 crore. He directed the officers to take action on the applications received by him and send the compliance report to the Chief Minister’s office within seven days. He directed to suspend a former Chief Executive Officer of Sendhwa janpad after he received complaints about irregularities in construction of farm ponds, an official Press release said.

At the meeting the Chief Minister undertook department-wise review. While reviewing the activities of energy department the Chief Minister directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during prescribed hours with proper voltage during Rabi season. The officers informed that at present 17 hours power supply is being made.

Taking a serious view of complaints about irregularities under farm pond scheme the Chief Minister directed to suspend the then Chief Executive Officer of Sendhwa janpad panchayat N.S. Raghuvanshi and to issue a show cause notice to an employee Vilas Dudhe. He directed the divisional commissioner to complete an enquiry in this regard and submit the report within three days.

The Chief Minister also directed for an enquiry into non-start of the work of Sendhwa-Cahancharia road for which he had performed “Bhumi Pujan” last year. He lauded the PHE department for making proper supply of drinking water. During the review of agriculture department the Chief Minister directed to ensure timely and adequate availability of fertilizers and seeds during Rabi season. He directed to issue show cause notices to the ten and present district coordinators of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan for non-completion of 43 school buildings lying incomplete since 2003-04. He directed not to employ machines in digging work under farm pond scheme so that employment can be provided to maximum people. He also directed an enquiry into complaints about non-availability of jobs to people under Employment guarantee Scheme.

Chouhan announced sanction of a number of development works costing about Rs. 50 crore in the various villages visited by him during Jandarshan.
