Islamabad: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Convenor All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK & Chairman Peoples Freedom League has strongly condemned ‘three day/night long military operation’ by a heavy contingent of army equipped with deadly weapons in a village of Tangmarg as very ‘barbaric’, resulting in bloodbath and burning of houses of villagers.
In a mailed statement to News Agency of Kashmir, Rehmani said that the attacking party had assumed the role of a death squad to kill people and burn indiscriminately, which indicated that India finally as a ‘dead duck’ wanted to take the peace process with Pakistan to the dead end.
He said Kashmir was facing a big ordeal and the world apathy was responsible for daily killings of innocents in the state. He warned that neither big power tilt towards India nor India’s military adventurism to thrust a military solution on the people of Jammu and Kashmir would make the region safe. He appealed for sanity and reason and a big leap forward to demilitarize the area, which could usher in an era of true and durable peace and a peaceful resolution of a dangerously dealt and intentionally complicated question of the right of self determination.
