New York : James Watson, the Nobel Prize winner and co-discoverer of the double helix in DNA, says that adults with Down Syndrome never get cancer. The scientist now wants to do further research in this area to find a cure for cancer.
Speaking to author Lewis Burke Frumkes, Watson said he now wants to devote his life to looking for a cure for cancer and that it is time for a big push, reports pagesix.com.
He said: “They (people with Down Syndrome) may get cancer as a child, but never as an adult. Now there’s a clue. You’d think everyone would be jumping on it but they’re not.”
