SIO organizes Eid Milan programme

New Delhi: “Eid should not be only for Muslims because the massage of Islam is not only for Mulsims but for entire humanity. The massage of Eid and Ramadan is to ensure Justice, Equity and Fair-play in the society and it could not be ensured without fear of God(taqwa), the real objective of fasting,” said Prof. Siddiq Hassan, Deputy President of Jamaat-e-Islami,Hind(JIH) while addressing an Eid Milan programme organised by Students’ Islamic Organisation (SIO) of India, Delhi Zone.

Mr. Mahtab Alam, organiser of the programme while welcoming the gathering said: “SIO is trying its best to eradicate the misunderstanding regarding Islam and Muslims among non-Muslims particularly in students and youth. This programme is also part of that objective. One of the major objectives of SIO is to present the massage of Islam in its real context.” “SIO wants to reconstruct the society in the light of divine guidance. And we are working in this regard since 1982 throughout country and We are glad to inform you that, this year we completing our 25 years of activism and struggle,” he added.

Eminent journalist and News editor of Hindustan Express Daily Mr.Ahmed Jawed :”Eid is not only to wear new cloths and have fun and fair but to acquire the fear of the God almighty.

Students’ Activist and former-State President of All India Students’ Association (AISA), Mr. Shri Kant while conveying Eid greetings told: “there is an urgent need of combined efforts to fight against the evil and to struggle for the right. I am glad to see that- SIO is trying its best in this regard”

Maulana Jalaluddin Umari, President, JIH in his special massage said: “Eid is not festival unlike others to be only joyful and happy but to pay the gratitude to almighty God for bestowing month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the month of revolution as Quran, the parameter to judge right and wrong has been revealed in it.”

This programme was attended by various Students’ Leaders, Journalists, Social Activists and Academicians both from non-Muslims and Muslims. As usual programme started with recitation of Quran.Programme ended with vote of thanks of Mr. Asif Iqbal, former-State President, SIO Delhi and conducted by Mr. Shahnawaz Alam.
