Mallorca (Spain) : Jyoti Randhawa started and finished his round with birdies and in between had an eventful round as he finished with a first round of two-under 68 at the Par-70 Pula Golf Club Thursday.
Randhawa, who skipped last week’s Portugal Masters, overcame a double bogey on 14th during his round, as he had five birdies, one bogey and one double bogey.
The Hero Honda Indian Open winner, Randhawa was one of the early starters and the first round was far from complete. He was provisionally inside top-10 in ninth place, but more than half the competitors were yet to complete the round. Andrew McLardy of South Africa was early leader with fur-under 66.
Randhawa is currently 35th on the Order Of Merit and is due to play season-ending Volvo Masters of Europe next week at Valderrama where Jeev Milkha Singh will defend his title. Jeev is skipping the European Tour event this week.
