MPs: no power dares to attack Iran

Tehran : Iranian parliament (Majlis) representatives here Sunday issued a statement saying that ‘no power dares to attack Iran’.

237 MPs, felicitating anniversary of US-backed Iraqi invasion of Iran (the Sacred Defence Week), pointed to the high capabilities of Iranian armed forces, saying that the country has improved its military might, domestically manufactured weapons, thanks to faith and holy aspirations. So, no power can repeat Saddam’s mistake.

According to the statement, the Holy Defence Week reminds the sacrifice Iranian soldiers made in defending the country during the eight-year US-backed Iraqi imposed war (1980-1988).

The MPs also underlined that Iranian nation will never forget the role of certain countries in equipping Saddam with chemical weapons and rockets during the eight-year war, and that they should make good on the losses Iran suffered in 1980s.
