Bhopal: The Union Ministry of Rural Development has granted Rs. 273.48 crore to the State Governments of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, (PMGSY), during the financial year 2007-08.
In case of Madhya Pradesh Rs.173.48 crore are to be given as balance payment of Batch-IV as Grant-in-Aid (Asian Development Bank Assisted Projects) to Madhya Pradesh Rural Roads Development Authority, (MPRRDA), an autonomous agency for receiving the funds for PMGSY and a duly registered society under Societies Registration Act.
For Chhattisgarh the Rs.100 crore has been released as part payment of second installment of Batch-III as of Grant-in-Aid (Asian Development Bank Assisted Projects-RRSIP-III) to Chhattisgarh Rural Roads Development Agency (CRRDA), an autonomous agency for receiving the funds for PMGSY and a duly registered society under Societies Registration Act.
The grant is towards plan expenditure and will, accordingly be subject to the conditions laid down from time to time in the guidelines of the PMGSY and supplementary directions there under. ([email protected])
