Zarqa (Jordan) : East Bengal pulled of a stunning 2-0 win over Jordan League champions Al Wihdat in a group B match of the Asian Football Cup (AFC) at the Prince Mohammad International Stadium here Wednesday.
With the win, East Bengal now moves to the top of group B standings.
East Bengal beat Ahli Sana’a 1-0 and lost to Safa 0-1.
The second win on the trot, over tougher opponents away brings back smiles on the faces of supporters of East Bengal, which had a dismal domestic season at home.
