Islamabad, Pakistan : Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) should pay more attention to the human, technical and financial resources of member states, Iran’s minister of science, research and technology said here on Wednesday.

Speaking at the 13th meeting of the OIC Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation (Comstech), Mohammad-Mehdi Zahedi observed that progress and development depend on self confidence and self belief.

“The major role of science and technology parks is to develop the infrastructure for the progress of the country,” he said.

Zahedi noted that Iran as a country which has established 18 science and technology parks, proposes the establishment of a network of Islamic science and technology parks to promote cooperation among OIC member states.

The 13th Comstech three-day conference opened in Islamabad on Tuesday.
