Moscow : Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed the high degree of confidence that characterizes the political dialogue with Cuba and the dynamics of the economic-commercial, cultural and humanitarian ties.
A letter addressed to the President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro, on the eve of the celebration of the eighth session of Intergovernmental Commission in Havana, is disclosed by news official sources here.
Reviewing fragments from the official message, Rosbalt digital newspaper emphasizes that Russian-Cuban friendship acquitted well in the tests of the time.
Finmarket site emphasizes on the other hand the interest of Moscow confirmed by Putin, in fomenting cooperation with the Island.
Other electronic newspapers as Strana.ru, RV.ru, Izvestia, Vgliad and Gazeta.ru, besides agency ITAR-TASS review results of the Russian-Cuban mixed commission, regarding fostering new areas of economic, commercial and scientist-technique collaboration.
Putin, who hands over power to successor President-elect Dmitry Medvedev on May 7, expressed that with satisfaction he can state the increasing confidence in the political dialogue between Moscow and Havana and a greater dynamism in the links of bilateral cooperation.
He expressed being convinced that not all possibilities are used to a large extent, and proposed to foster exchange in the areas of high technologies and innovation.
He mentioned areas like biotechnology, pharmaceutics, in which Cuba has obtained several achievements, Russian President stressed.
He added that in that sense a significant paper must be carried out by Russian-Cuban intergovernmental commission for the economic-commercial and scientist-technique collaboration in the search and accomplishment of new projects.
