Mirwaiz urges India to resolve Kashmir issue

New Delhi : Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference urged India to show sincerity in resolving the Kashmir issue.

Addressing Juma congregation in Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, the APHC Chairman said the situation in occupied Kashmir was deteriorating day by day. Gross human rights violations are on the peak and Kashmiri freedom fighters are being tortured mentally as well physically in jails and interrogation centres.

The recent discovery of graves of unknown Kashmiris is pointing towards the grave

situation in IHK which demands that three parties to Kashmir issue should sit together to find out permanent solution of the problem.

A delegation of APHC is in Brussels to attend a world meeting where the members of the delegation will draw the attention of the world community towards the plight of Kashmiris, he said.

He condemned the blasting of residential houses by the security forces, arrest of innocent Kashmiris and inhuman treatment being meted out to them in jails.

He drew the attention of the world community to this grave situation in occupied Kashmir and asked the world leaders to put pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir issue at the earliest.
