Islamabad : Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has phoned his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee, said an official statement.
Qureshi told him that the fifth round of composite dialogue process between Pakistan and India would start soon.
We both have agreed to restore the stalled dialogue process, he said.
Mukherjee would soon come to Pakistan followed by the visit of Indian foreign secretary aimed at starting 5th round of the dialogue process, Qureshi said.
He said this decision of the Indian government was reflective of its recognition that a democratic government has taken over in Pakistan and now the dialogue process could prove positive and result-oriented.
Qureshi said Pakistan wants to promote its relations with all neighbouring countries for progress and prosperity of the South Asian region.
He said he would start his visit to China from April 10 aimed at further promoting bilateral relations between the two countries.
