Sana’a : Yemen is set to clinch a cooperation protocol with Kuwait and Egypt in the aviation area, a Yemeni aviation official said here Friday.
Yemen and Kuwait will sign an air training protocol and a memo of understanding in the field of civil aviation, air transport and bilateral cooperation, said Hamid Faraj, chief of the Yemeni Civil Aviation and Meteorological Authority.
The MoU will allow more carriers to operate Yemen-Kuwait flights on the basis that Kuwait has several airlines, including Kuwait Airways and Al-Jazeera Airways, thus creating more flexibility between both countries in civil aviation and air transport, he said.
He added that he would meet Kuwaiti civil aviation officials on possible cooperation through joint aviation programs.
