Sochi : Russian President-elect Dmitry Medvedev told U.S. President George Bush on Sunday that Russia-U.S. relations were a key factor to international security and he would seek to develop further these ties.
Bush is meeting with the incoming Russian leader at the Black Sea resort of Sochi after his talks with outgoing President Vladimir Putin.
“After I am sworn in [as the president of Russia], I would like our relations to continue further without pauses,” Medvedev said.
Medvedev said that Bush and Putin had carried out enormous work in the past eight years to develop Russian-U.S. interaction.
