Jerusalem : Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert are here to resume the meetings aimed at achieving some progress in the current negotiations between the two sides.
The meeting comes after the visit paid by US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to the region in which she called on both sides to resume meetings between Abbas and Olmert.
Abbas’ media chancellor Nabil Amr said that Abbas will tackle, during the meeting, resuming negotiating the core issues of the final status, coexisting with the Israeli implementation of the Road map requirements and uplifting the siege on the Gaza Strip.
