Islamabad : The Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (PML-N) of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said Sunday the party’s ministers in the coalition federal government will not meet, or travel with, President Pervez Musharraf.
Talking to a private TV channel Sunday, senior leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that PML-N did not accept Musharraf as a constitutional and legal president because he had come through force.
“We are not willing to enter into any kind of working relationship with Pervez Musharraf,” he said.
Khan said that the people of the country had given mandate to the PML-N, and the party’s elected members are committed to working for the development of the country and welfare of its people.
The PML-N leader said that they have joined the government in the larger interest of democracy, and would not compromise on the principles.
