Ramallah : A dozen Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and 18 others were injured in Israeli air strikes targeting houses and a mosque in central Gaza Strip, a Palestinian health official said.
The victims included Reuters cameraman Fadel Shana, 23, who was covering violence in Gaza for the London-based international news agency.
Several houses and a mosque were seriously damaged in the Israeli air raids Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian civilian was killed and several others were injured in Israeli air strikes targeting two cars in northern Gaza, Palestinian medics said.
Hani Zaghreb, 32, was killed and five others wounded in two missile attacks by Israeli reconnaissance drones.
The first air attack targeted a car which has departed from Beit Lahia, north of Gaza, while the other attack targeted a car in northern Gaza.
The Palestinian death toll in the Israeli military aggression on the Gaza Strip on Wednesday has risen up to 19, with dozens of Palestinian civilians having been injured.
