Moscow : A man in the Russian North Caucasus republic of Chechnya has surrendered over 150 kilograms of TNT to police, a local police source told RIA Novosti on Sunday.
The man explained to the police that he had found the explosives in two metal casks at a garbage site near the village of Petropavlovskaya in the Grozny district in central Chechnya.
A probe is underway to establish the origin of the explosives.
