Havana : Cuban government has given its support to the United Nations International Convention against ‘Doping in Sports’ as part of its cooperation policy with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Official daily “Granma” published Friday that the documents were delivered July 28 at the headquarters of the UNESCO in Paris. Cuban official Andres Quintana said that the adhesion to the convention is framed on Cuba’s strategy to support the UNESCO.
The Convention was created in February 2007 to prevent doping and contributes to the world rules, policies and norms against doping.
