Abu Dhabi : The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), the leading educational authority of Abu Dhabi, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vanderbilt University of the US for cooperation in academic fields.
The MoU calls for cooperation in the fields of management studies and a masters programme in healthcare management, especially those implemented by Owen Graduate School of the American university, the state-run Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
HCT vice-chancellor Tayeb Kamali and James Bradford from Vanderbilt University signed the agreement here.
Established 20 years ago, HCT offers over 4,000 courses through its 14 colleges and the Centre of Excellence for Applied Reseacrh and training. It boasts of a 1,800-plus strong faculty and staff of 54 nationalities.
Founded in 1873, the Nashville, Tennessee-based Vanderbilt University is a private, non-sectarian co-educational research university.
