Jordanian FM opens talks with his Hondurasian counterpart

Amman : Foreign Minister Salaheddin Al Bashir has opened talks here with his Hondurasian counterpart Edmundo Mercado on a number of bilateral agreements.

The agreements, expected to be concluded soon between Jordan and Honduras, covered cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, tourism and culture.

During their meeting Wednesday, the two ministers reviewed development of events in the region particularly the Middle East peace-making efforts.

Bashir affirmed Jordan’s keenness to strengthen ties of cooperation with Honduras in various fields.

He also stressed the necessity to reach a peaceful settlement to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in a way to promote peace and stability in the region and ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state that fulfil hopes and aspirations of the Palestinian people.

The Hondurasian Minister, who is currently on a visit to Jordan, highly appreciated Jordan’s vital role in supporting peace efforts in the region and promoting cross-cultural dialogue.

He said his country would pursue all efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Jordan.
