London : British police believe a family member may be responsible for fatally stabbing a foreign diplomat at his home, detectives said Monday.
Paramedics discovered Cameroonian diplomat Kitts Mbeboh, 60, with serious injuries in Middleton Avenue, west London.
He was taken by ambulance to hospital where he later died.
A post-mortem examination found the cause of death was a single stab wound.
Police officers arrested a 28-year-old man, believed to be a relative, at the house on suspicion of murder.
He was being questioned today at a north London police station, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.
Emergency services discovered the victim yesterday morning after a member of the public dialled the emergency services.
Mbeboh was the second counsellor for cultural affairs at the Cameroonian High Commission in central London.
