Chennai : Kamaladevi, ailing septuagenarian niece of late Congress leader and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Kamaraj, will receive a monthly pension of Rs.3,000, state party president K.V. Thankabalu announced here Wednesday.
Congress national committee member R. Damodaran handed over the first cheque to Kamaladevi at her residence in Virudunagar, party workers said.
The state Congress said in a release that it will also meet all her medical expenses.
