New Delhi : Indian media, particularly electronic news channels continued to give coverage to President Musharraf’s resignation saying the event has no fallout on Pak-India relations.
Though the coverage tempo has slowed down, but some of the news channels telecast special reports on the latest developments in Pakistan.
The participants in Zee news, NDTV, Times Now and Headlines said there will be no fallout of Musharraf’s resignation on Pak-India relations. However, responsibility on Pakistani politicians has enhanced to steer the country out of the present situation.
A democratic Pakistan with politicians at helms of affairs would be good for stability of the region.
They said politicians in Pakistan want to establish peace on its eastern border and they expressed their desire on several interviews given to Indian media before the Feb.18 elections and even after taking over the charge of the government.
They were of the view that heavy responsibility lies on politicians’ shoulders to work with India for regional peace and stability.
