Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh police are investigating whether Islamic ultras had a hand behind hacking the website of a software professional here. So far the police have ascertained that the message uploaded on the website was posted from Bahrain.
The Lucknow police Thursday registered a case after Assas Abbas, informed them that his website www.crystalwebhost.net was hacked and showed a message in Arabic.
“The message pertains to significance of Jehad (struggle against evil). We are in the process of ascertaining whether the message was aimed at creating terror or just a prank by the hackers,” police officer Vinay Chandra told IANS.
Officials said the Special Task Force (STF) of the police would be asked to carry out the probe.
