Warrant issued against BSP MP in attempted murder case

By IANS,

Faizabad (Uttar Pradesh) : A non-bailable warrant was issued Wednesday against the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party MP Mitrasen Yadav in an attempt to murder case by Faizabad Chief Judicial Magistrate Shailesh Kumar Tiwari.

The court issued the warrant in a seven-year-old case of attempt to murder lodged in Inayatnagar police station of the district.

It was registered against Yadav, MP from Faizabad, his son Anand Sen, a legislator, and Vijay Sen, an accused in another murder case.

On July 24, 2000 Suraj Karan Pandey, a local BJP worker, approached the court stating that Mitrasen Yadav, Anand Sen and Vijay Sen tried to kill him due to political enmity. The court then ordered the Inayatnagar police station to register a case.

Reacting to Wednesday’s court order, Mitrasen Yadav told IANS that the case lodged against him was false and he had already moved the Allahabad High Court challenging the district court’s order.
