New Delhi : The US Thursday announced an assistance of $100,000 (about Rs.4 million) for over two million people in Bihar who have been displaced by devastating floods.
“US ambassador to India David C. Mulford has announced that the US will contribute $100,000 to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for assistance to victims of the recent floods in Bihar,” the US embassy said in a statement here.
Mulford “offered condolences to the families of those killed in the disaster and his government’s willingness to provide further support as needed,” the statement said.
