Ramadan 1 to fall on Monday in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh : The Saudi Supreme Judiciary Council has announced on Saturday evening that Sunday will be the last day of Sha’ban month of the lunar Arabic calindar.

Therefore, Ramadan 1 will fall on Monday, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted a statement by the council as saying.

The new moon of the holy month of Ramadan has not been seen this evening in the kingdom, so Sunday will mark Sha’ban 30, according to the statement.

The council congratulated the Muslim nation on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and prayed to God for helping the Muslims unify their ranks and restore the glory and dignity of the nation.
