New Delhi : Sharing his views with politicians at All Party Conference, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh announced here on Sunday to set up a Federal Investigation Agency besides strengthening anti-terrorist apparatus.
Leader of the opposition L K Advani, BJP President Rajnath Singh and Shiv Sena did not attend the meeting convened by the Prime Minister to discuss the situation in the wake of Mumbai attacks.
Seeking help from the parties, he appealed to them to rise above political considerations to deal with the national threat.
Air and maritime security would be strengthened, he said while describing Mumbai attacks as national tragedy.
He said a set of legal measures had been finalized on the recommendations of the Administrative Reforms Commission to deal with the challenge.
