Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan sacked

Chandigarh : Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan was Sunday dropped from the state cabinet, an official spokesman said, adding that he has not been attending his office for nearly two months.

Chander Mohan, who also held the food and supplies portfolio in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government, was not attending to his official duties for more than 50 days without prior intimation, the spokesman said.

Chander Mohan is son of veteran leader and former chief minister Bhajan Lal, who with his another son Kuldip Bishnoi formed a regional party, the Haryana Janhit Congress, in December last year, rounding up the two and a half years of campaign against the Congress after Bhupinder Singh hooda pipped him to the chief minister’s post following eletions to the state legislature.
