ISTANBUL , Dec 21 (KUNA) — Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is expected to travel to Turkey on Monday and meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss the Turkish mediation and the indirect negotiations with Syria.
Anadolu news agency said the two men would tackle bilateral relations, regional issues of common concern and the Middle East peace process.
Since May, Turkey has mediated four rounds of indirect peace talks between Israel, its chief regional ally, and southern neighbour Syria.
The talks were put on hold shortly after Olmert announced on July 30 he would step down over a corruption scandal.
