Sushan Kunjaraman, an advocate with Bombay High court, who is also a social activist, has filed a case against Daler at Versova police station here Wednesday.

“I have filed a criminal case against Daler as the lyrics of his song ‘Jaago India’ sounds demotivating and is in bad taste. The lyrics of his song abuse people of the country, which is completely objectionable and is not in the interest of the nation,” Kunjaraman told IANS here Wednesday.

“I decided to file a case against the singer and take it further for the interest of the people,” Kunjaraman added.

The song “Jaago India”, which has been recorded recently after the terrorist attack of 26/11, has lyrics saying “Tum sab rote raho, marne wale marte rahenge. Tum sab peete raho, peene waale peete rehenge.”
