New Delhi : A day after Christmas, the residents of Delhi woke up to the coldest morning of the season, as the mercury dipped to 6.4 degrees Celsius, weather officials said Friday.
Earlier the minimum temperature was recorded Dec 13 at 6.7 degrees Celsius.
“The minimum temperature registered is 6.4 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature is 24.5 degrees Celsius,” a met official said.
The minimum temperature recorded on Christmas morning Thursday was seven degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
“The chill will continue for the next few days with the minimum temperature hovering around seven degrees Celsius,” the official added.
The met department has predicted a bright and clear sky for the day with mist or shallow fog enveloping the national capital at night.
