By NNN-KUNA

Beirut : Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa returns to Lebanon on Friday ahead of the parliament session to elect a new president next Monday.

Moussa informed Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri Monday of his upcoming visit to resume efforts to enact the Arab initiative to solve the Lebanese presidential standoff, Berri’s office said.

Berri has set Monday (Feb 11) as the next parliament session to elect the president.

The three-point Arab peace plan calls for the immediate election of the president to be followed by the formation of a national unity government based on the constitution, with this new government wording a fresh election law.
