New Delhi : A minor fire broke out at the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) offices in Vikas Minar here Monday. The Delhi Fire Service officials, who rushed seven fire tenders to the building, reported no damage to the building or any casualties.

The incident occurred around 2.00 p.m. when an air-conditioner in the second-floor room of an income tax officer of the DDA caught fire.

“The fire, which was caused due to an electrical short-circuit, was doused in about 30 minutes. No was injured,” a fire official said.

Vikas Minar, which houses some offices of the DDA, had caught fire in December 2005, but there were no causalities then too.
