Vienna : Foreign ministers of a number of Arab countries will discuss with European counterparts, in Malta Monday, cooperation and best means to address conflicts in the Middle East.
According to a press release issued by the Austrian Foreign Ministry, the Arab and European ministers, in addition to Arab League Secretary General Amre Moussa, will be given a review by Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plasnik on outcomes of her recent tour in the Middle East.
Plasnik’s tour, which was concluded on Friday, included stops in Lebanon, Syria, Palestinian territories, and Israel.
The release said Plasnik will, on the sidelines of the two-day meeting, meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Abulgheit, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, and AL Secretary General Amre Moussa to discuss the situation in Lebanon, Palestine, and Iraq.
Participants in the Malta meeting will include European Union Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana, Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, and Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner.
