Gaza : Two Palestinians were injured during an incursion executed by Israeli forces against Gaza Strip’s eastern part early on Tuesday.
Eyewitnesses and Palestinian medical sources said the two were among a number of resistance fighters who confronted Israeli troops and tanks attacking the area.
Special Israeli forces took part in the operation that included raiding a number of houses, they said, adding that blasts were heard in those parts.
On its part, Israeli radio said a soldier was injured during the incursion that took place close to the Gaza-Israeli borders.
In addition, Izzideen Al-Qassam, the military wing of Hamas, said it launched 73 howitzer projectiles and seven Qassam-type missiles against Israeli forces and tanks taking part in the attack.
The incursion eneded later Tuesday morning.
